geography
Kleinburgk is located in the east of the Freital city area. Part of the route of the Windbergbahn runs over the area of Großburg and Kleinburgk.
history
The village of Kleinburgk originated as a mining settlement on the Großburgk corridor . It is first mentioned in 1668 as Beßerung or Kleinburgk . The name comes from the fact that the settlers did not receive the land as property, but only for cultivation in building and improvement .
The administrative affiliation was with the Dresden office . 1764 the manor exercised Potschappel the basic rule out. From 1856 to 1875 Kleinburgk belonged to the Döhlen court office and later to the Dresden administration . In 1912 Kleinburgk merged with Großburgk to form the new municipality of Burgk. After Zschiedge was added in 1915 , in 1924 it became a district of the city of Freital, which was founded in 1921. Kleinburgk was not a separate district of the new city, but remained assigned to Burgk and only exists today as a district.
