Niederpesterwitz is a district in the Potschappel district of the Saxon major district town of Freital in the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district .
geography
Niederpesterwitz is located northeast of the Freital city area. Pesterwitz lies in the north, Potschappel in the south and Döhlen and Zauckerode in the west . The district is partly on the " Sauberg ".
history
Niederpesterwitz was created around 1800 when miners settled in the Pesterwitzer Grund east of the Burgwartsberg . The parish registers of Pesterwitz name more than 30 families who immigrated from the regions around Altenberg (Ore Mountains) , Johanngeorgenstadt and Freiberg . The first houses were called "under the Burgwartsberg" or "the new houses under Pesterwitz" until 1806, until after 1822 as "under Pesterwitz". From 1834, at that time there were already 20 houses with 220 people, the name "Niederpesterwitz" can be traced.
In 1816 administrative affiliation was with the Dresden office. Until 1834 Niederpesterwitz formed the village of Pesterwitz together with Oberpesterwitz and belonged to the manor of the Pesterwitz manor. From 1856 to 1875 Niederpesterwitz was assigned to the Döhlen (Freital) court office, and later to the Dresden administration . As a result of the ongoing expansion of the country and the associated increase in population, Niederpesterwitz was territorially and administratively united with Potschappel in 1915 and with this in 1921 it became part of the newly founded town of Freital . Niederpesterwitz has only existed as a district since then.
