history
Niederhäslich was first mentioned in a document in 1330. When it was founded, the place was a street green village . In 1278 the administration was part of the "castrum Dresden". 1554 the manor exercised Gauernitz the basic rule out. From 1590 Niederhäslich belonged to the Dippoldiswalde office and since then was the official village . From 1856 to 1875 Niederhäslich belonged to the Döhlen court office and later to the Dresden administration . In 1915 Niederhäslich was incorporated as a second district after Deuben.
In 1921 Deuben merged with Döhlen and Potschappel to form the city of Freital, Niederhäslich initially did not become a separate district of the new city, Deuben remained assigned and continued to exist as a village. In the 1950s, the “steelworks settlement” was built in the traditional stone-on-stone construction on the Niederhäslicher corridors. Shortly after 1960, as a continuation of the settlement, the new building area "Raschelberg-Ost" was built in prefabricated construction . In 1953, the sculpture "Stahlwerker" by Friedrich Press was placed in the center of this settlement . Despite these new development areas, Niederhäslich retained its rural character.
In the course of a change of community in March 2011 Niederhäslich and Schweinsdorf became separate districts of Freitals.
