The Raschelberg is an elevation in the southeast of the Saxon city of Freital on the corridors of the districts of Niederhäslich and Schweinsdorf .
Location and surroundings
The Raschelberg rises in the middle of the Poisenblick garden area by an old water tank south of Oststraße in Freital-Niederhäslich. To the west, the area falls down to Pfannengrund with the Schweinsdorfer Bach , to the east into the Geyersgraben with the brook of the same name and north to the Poisenbach . To the southeast, the area borders on the foothills of the Wachtelberg , to the south on the Die Pfanne .
history
The development of the Raschelberg slope towards the Poisenbach began at the end of the 1920s, initially mainly along today's Rudeltstrasse and in Schweinsdorf. In the 1950s the Raschelberg was built on the eastern Niederhäslicher Flur, in the 1960s it was supplemented by the prefabricated Waldblicksiedlung to the east of it . In 1996 the housing association "Raschelberg" eG was founded from the communal housing stock, which took over numerous buildings on the hillside and has managed it ever since.
