The video was successful with over 100,000 hits, so that Day together with three friends founded the band Chameleon Circuit in August 2008, which was supposed to play Time Lord Rock ( dry for short ) exclusively - as it was called.

The group soon began recording their first album, with each of the band members contributing their own songs. Was published Chameleon Circuit on June 1, 2009 to DFTBA Records that the publication of by YouTube specializes become popular music. In the first two weeks after the release, more than 1000 copies were sold, the band interviewed by the official Doctor Who Magazine . In the course of the release of the second album, it became known that the production of the self-titled debut had to be canceled due to disputes with the producer. According to Charlie McDonnell , the album was released late and only in a raw version.

Until the end of 2010 it was quiet around the band, its members were active as solo musicians or in other groups. Day released two albums and played for some time with McDonnell in the band Sons of Admirals . This also recorded his solo debut, which was released in December 2010. Subsequently, Chameleon Circuit announced a new album for 2011.

In April 2011 McDonnell announced the departure of Chris Beattie, he was replaced by Ed Blann, who was active as Day and McDonnell in the Sons of Admirals . Was produced Still Got Legs of the US-American Michael Aranda, who went for the shots to London. After a vacation in France, the UK refused to allow him to re-enter for two months, so work on the album had to be interrupted. With the help of an online petition signed by 50,000 fans, the band managed to get Aranda's permission to stay in London for a week. This gave him the opportunity to prepare for his return to the USA after production was complete. The other recordings were previously continued with the support of the beverage manufacturer Red Bull in France.

Still Got Legs was presented to interested fans at two events in early June before it was released on DFTBA Records on June 12th . On the iTunes music platform operated by Apple , the release rose to number 50 in the album charts and fourth in the “Rock album” category.
