Channel 5 (band)

Channel 5 was a German pop band from Hamburg , founded in 1982 by Jan Krueger, Christian Blau and Frank Winneberger.

Band history

Krueger and producer Lorenz Westphal (known by the stage name Lonzo developed) 1983 in Hamburg a competitive international, professionally staged sound for Channel 5, both mainstream - rock and jazz , as well as radio included. 80,000 copies of the first album Color of a Moment were sold in 1985. After two tours of Germany with sophisticated live shows, the second LP Painted Nights was released in 1986 . Chris Adam had since left the band and was replaced by Christof Scheibe. A short time later the group split up.

The duo Krueger / Wilckens now operates a production studio in Hamburg and produces songs for commercials. With the project Magic Voices they reached the German single and album charts in 2000. Krochmann has a recording studio in Norderstedt and produces radio plays for children, partly together with Blau, who works as a freelance artist in the field of painting and photography. Disk played with Michel van Dyke and Sissi Perlinger , among others .
