Chanté Sherese Sandiford (born January 8, 1990 in Bethpage , New York ) is an American football player and coach who competes internationally for Guyana .

Career

society

Sandiford played from 2007 to 2008 for the W-League participant Washington Freedom and in 2009 for its reserve team, with whom she was able to celebrate the championship in 2007 and was only defeated in the 2009 final by the Pali Blues . Then she ran for league rivals Pali Blues and the New Jersey Wildcats . At the beginning of 2013, after finishing her studies at UCLA , Sandiford moved to the Russian first division club Zorkiy Krasnogorsk , with whom she was able to celebrate winning the Russian championship in her debut season .

In the summer of 2014, she joined the University of Maryland, Baltimore County 's women's soccer team , the UMBC Retrievers , as an assistant and goalkeeper coach.

In 2015 she played for the Icelandic first division club UMF Selfoss .

Sandiford qualified with the Guyanese national football team for the CONCACAF qualifying tournament for the 2016 Summer Olympics in the United States.
