Chantal Ouoba gained her first international experience in 1994 when she won the silver medal in the triple jump with a width of 11.96 m and took fourth place in the long jump with 5.39 m in the Junior African Championships in Algiers . In 1995 she took part in the Summer Universiade in Fukuoka for the first time and was eliminated there in the long jump with 5.64 m in the qualification and was eleventh in the triple jump with 12.46 m. In addition, she won the silver medal again at the Junior African Championships in Bouaké with 11.99 m. In 1996 she qualified in the triple jump for the Olympic Games in Atlanta , in which she did not reach the final with 12.40 m . The following year she reached sixth place at the Francophonie Games in Antananarivo with a width of 12.82 m and in 1999 she was fifth at the Africa Games in Johannesburg with 12.85 m. Shortly before, she was eliminated from the qualification at the Summer Universiade in Palma with 12.15 m. In 2001 she set a new national record in Ouagadougou with 13.63 m and then took sixth place at the Francophonie Games in Ottawa with 13.10 m and ended her career as a track and field athlete at the age of 25.
