Charalampos Prokopios Chantzopoulos ( Greek Χαράλαμπος Προκόπιος Χαντζόπουλος ; born July 8, 1994 in Bielefeld ) is a Greek football player .

Career

The central defender Charalampos Chantzopoulos began his career at the Bielefeld district club VfL Theesen and switched to local rivals VfR Wellensiek as a youth . There he moved up to the first team at the age of 18, which made it to the national league in 2013 . A year later Chantzopoulos moved to Arminia Bielefeld II in the Oberliga Westfalen , for which he scored a goal in 37 games. Two years later, he was transferred to league rivals FC Gütersloh 2000 , for whom he played 20 times. In January 2017 Chantzopoulos went to Finland to join FF Jaro . For the second division he played 29 times and scored one goal. His contract expired at the end of the year and was not renewed. After first introducing himself to the German third division club FSV Zwickau , the league rival FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt signed him in February 2018 .

On March 16, 2018, Chantzopoulos made his third division debut in Erfurt's 2-4 defeat at SV Wehen Wiesbaden . After the descent of Erfurt, he returned to Finland and joined the second division Kokkolan Palloveikot . With this team Chatzopoulos was runner-up in 2018 and sat in the following relegation against Turku PS . With that, Kokkolan made it into the first-class Veikkausliiga .
