Batch 69 are a French Oi! -Band with Ska influences from Metz .
history
In January 1993, Charge 69 was founded in the line-up Spirou (vocals, guitar), Laurent (drums, ex-Skaferlatine and PKRK) and Caps (ex-PKRK). In this line-up the sampler contribution Seul is created for the compilation Le bal des Vauriens . Then Spirou gets out again to concentrate on his main band Molodoï . He was replaced by Jeremya (guitar) and Sandro (vocals). The debut EP Patchwork was released on four different labels: Knock Out Records (Germany), Pogo Stick (USA), Bronco Bullfrog (Spain) and Combat Rock (France). The Ep is selling very well and batch 69 was able to sell around 4,000 copies worldwide.
In June 1995 Gilles (vocals) and Richard (guitar) complete the line-up. This is followed by appearances in France, Belgium and Germany, various sampler contributions and a split EP with The Bruisers . With Ian Burgess , the group recorded their debut album Apparence jugée in 1997 , which was released on Knock Out Records and Combat Rock. In 1998 the single Région sacrifiée followed . After the second album Vos lois ne sont pas nos règles , Richard got out to try his hand at web design . He is replaced by Yann. Shortly afterwards the line-up collapsed again, but the group remained in changing line-ups. In 2002 the double CD Des mots, des rires, des larmes et des pleurs ... was released , which provided a career overview . Univers Sale followed in 2003 and Conflit Interne in 2007 . The latter album was released in Germany on the KrawallBrüder label KB Records .
style
Charge 69 plays Oi! / Streetpunk based on the English model. Notable influences are the UK Subs , Stiff Little Fingers and Cockney Rejects . The music is also enriched with reggae / ska elements. All texts are written in French.
