Charles Bernstein (poet)
Charles Bernstein (born April 4, 1950 in New York City ) is an American poet, editor and professor at the University of Pennsylvania .
Bernstein graduated from Harvard College. He was visiting professor of poetry and creative writing at Columbia University , Brown University and Princeton University and is one of the most famous language poets .
Awards
- 2005: University of Pennsylvania Dean's Award for Innovation in Teaching
- 2006: Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences
- 2015: Prize of the City of Münster for international poetry
