Charles Gondouin

Charles Gondouin (born August 21, 1875 in Paris , † December 24, 1947 there ) was a French rugby union player and referee , tug of war and sports journalist .

Life

The Scrum-half played for a long time with Frantz Reichel at the Racing Club de France , with which he became French champions in 1900 and 1902. At the Olympic Games in 1900 he was Olympic champion with the French rugby team , and he also won the silver medal in the tug of war . In 1914 he was the referee of the final final of the French rugby championship before the First World War and, at the invitation of the English federation, a game between the selections of the universities of Oxford and Cambridge .
