Charles Henry Gordon-Lennox, 8th Duke of Richmond DSO MVO (* December 30, 1870 - May 7, 1935 ) was a British nobleman .

He was the eldest son of Charles Henry Gordon-Lennox, 7th Duke of Richmond , from his first marriage to Amy Mary Ricardo. As apparent marriage of his father, he carried the courtesy title Earl of March from 1903 .

He attended Eton College and then studied at Christ Church College of Oxford University . After completing his training, he went to the British Army and served in the Second Boer War , where he was awarded the Distinguished Service Order in 1900 . After the war he became a major in the Irish Guards and was awarded a member of the Royal Victorian Order in 1905 . He was at times Deputy Lieutenant of Sussex and Justice of the Peace for Morayshire and reached the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel of the Sussex Yeomanry in the British Army .

In 1928, when his father died, he inherited the title of Duke of Richmond , Lennox and Gordon and became a member of the House of Lords . From 1928 to 1935 he was Lord Lieutenant of Morayshire. He only outlived his father by seven years. His titles fell to his youngest and only surviving son, Frederick , in 1935 .

The duke had married Hilda Madeleine Brassey (1872–1971), daughter of House of Commons Henry Arthur Brassey, squire of Preston Hall in Kent , in 1893 , with whom he had five children:
