Charles pants
Charles Hose (born October 12, 1863 in Hertfordshire , England , † November 14, 1929 ) was a British colonial administrator, zoologist and ethnologist .
He received his education at the Felsted School in Essex and at Cambridge University . He was offered an administrative cadetship in Sarawak by the second white Raja , Charles Brooke , which he accepted in 1884.
The Hosegebirge in Sarawak is named after him, as are various animals:
- Hoses tiny flying squirrel ( Petaurillus hosei )
- Spotty-winged broad-throat ( Calyptomena hosii )
- Plain roller ( Diplogale hosei )
- Four chipmunk ( Lariscus hosei )
- Pant langur ( Presbytes hosei )
- Suncus hosei (a species from the genus of the thick-tailed shrew )
- Rana hosei (a type of real frog )
