Charles Nall-Cain, 3rd Baron Brocket

Charles Ronald George Nall-Cain, 3rd Baron Brocket (born February 12, 1952 ), also known as Charlie Brocket , is a British peer , former inmate and television presenter.

life and career

Nall-Cain was born on February 12, 1952 to Ronald Nall-Cain and Elizabeth Trotter. His father died when Nall-Cain was nine years old. He attended Eton College and served with the 14th / 20th King's Hussars as a lieutenant in Germany .

He became known as Playboy and collected classic cars. He owned 42 Ferraris , for which he was best known in the 1980s and early 1990s.

In 1996 he was sentenced to five years in prison for insurance fraud, of which he served two and a half years.

In 2004 he was a participant in the 3rd season of I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! . He reached fourth place. He took in almost £ 1 million in offers because of the brand awareness he gained . His autobiography Call Me Charlie was published in hardcover in September and made it into the top 10 bestseller list in 2004.

He hosted the ITV game show Scream! If You Want to Get Off and hosted Private Exposed , a program that featured background reports for ITV's Bad Lads Army on ITV2.

He inherited Brocket Hall . The house was in need of renovation at the time, and he converted it into a hotel and conference venue. In October 2012 he still owned the building in Hertfordshire and leased it through a trust to a German consortium for 50 years.

He has been selling groceries under the Brocket Hall Foods brand since 2007 .

Membership in the House of Lords

After the death of his grandfather in 1967, he inherited the title of Baron Brocket at the age of 15 . On June 22, 1976 he first took his seat in the House of Lords . On August 1, 1984, he asked his first written question. His inaugural address followed on June 13, 1986. Up until March 1994, he spoke up several times.

Its membership ended by the House of Lords Act 1999 . He did not run for one of the remaining seats.

It is recorded in the Register of Hereditary Peers , which are available for by-election.

family

He was married twice, from 1982 to 1994 to the former Vogue model Isabell Maria Lorenzo with whom he has three children. On June 24, 2006, he married Harriet Warren, with whom he has a daughter.
