Charles Pasi (born February 8, 1984 ) is a French singer , guitarist , harmonica player and songwriter for blues , jazz , rock and world music .
biography
Pasi is French-Italian. He made his first appearance in the gospel choir when he was 17 years old. After studying at the Saint Louis Jazz School in Rome , at the Paris Jazz School CIM and the School for Contemporary Music in Paris Atla, he went on tour and performed at various jazz and blues festivals. He worked with various artists such as Carla Bruni (whom he accompanied on tour), the guitarist Antoine Holler , K-Led Ba'sam and Siân Pottok.
Charles Pasi composes his own songs. He appeared in the film Actrices (2007) by Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi as a man with the harmonica and was involved in the film music, as well as in the film Cinéman by Yann Moix .
Due to his first self-produced EP , Mainly Blue (2006), he was invited to the Memphis Blues World Challenge , where he made it to the finals.
Saxophonist Archie Shepp plays on his second album Uncaged , produced in the LDC Paris studio , for example with Better With Butter .
After having already supported Maceo Parker and Zaz on tour in Germany, he presented himself in summer 2012 at the Rheingau Music Festival and at Jazz under Palms on the island of Mainau . In 2015 he became the first French singer to sign a contract with the renowned US label Blue Note .
