Charles de Vendeville (also Devendeville; born March 8, 1882 in Lesquin , Nord , France , † September 19, 1914 in Reims , Marne ) was a French water polo player and swimmer.

He took part in the 1900 Summer Olympics in Paris , the capital of his home country. There he lost with the French water polo team Tritons Lilloise in the quarterfinals 12-0 against the eventual Olympic champion, the British Osborne Swimming Club , and was eliminated.

In underwater swimming, however, he was able to cover 60 meters on August 12 and at the same time remain underwater for 68.4 seconds. In the combination he received 188.4 points, which brought him first place and thus the gold medal (or since this did not yet exist, the silver medal).

Charles de Vendeville died on the Western Front at the beginning of the First World War .
