Charleville is a city in southern Queensland .

It is located in the southwest of the state of Queensland , Australia 758 km west of the federal capital Brisbane . With 3,077 inhabitants, Charleville is the largest city in the administrative district of Murweh Shire and its capital, which administers 43,905 km². Charleville is on the banks of the Warrego River , where the Warrego Highway ends.

1922 taught Qantas between Charleville and Cloncurry the second regularly operating airline of Australia one. This was also Qanta's first airline.
