Charley Henley (* 1973 ) is a VFX Supervisor who was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Visual Effects in 2013 for Prometheus - Dark Characters .

Life

He was born the son of British actors Drewe Henley and Felicity Kendal . At the beginning of his career he worked for Merchant Ivory Productions as a projectionist and video assistant. It was there that he first encountered the area of ​​special effects. This was followed by a job as a technical assistant at Mill Film in London, where he built 3D elements and worked on films such as Gladiator . Eventually he moved to the special effects company Moving Picture Company , where he worked on films such as Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone , Alien vs. Predator and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn . In 2013 he was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Visual Effects for Prometheus - Dark Characters, along with Richard Stammers , Trevor Wood and Martin Hill .
