Richard Stammers
Richard Stammers (* before 1992) is an American special effects artist who was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Visual Effects in 2013 for Prometheus - Dark Characters .
Life
He studied animation and graduated in 1992. He then started working as a junior designer for the Australian visual effects company Animal Logic . In 1995 he moved to Moving Pictures in London . There he initially worked mainly on commercials before moving to the film division in 2002. In the following years he was involved in productions such as Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets , The Da Vinci Code and The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian of Narnia .
In 2013 he was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Visual Effects for Prometheus - Dark Characters together with Trevor Wood, Charley Henley and Martin Hill .
