Martin Hill

Martin Hill is a special effects artist who was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects in 2013 for Prometheus - Dark Characters .

Life

He studied architecture and mathematics at the University of Edinburgh . He then did his Master of Science degree in computer animation from Bournemouth University in Bournemouth . After graduating, he worked for the special effects studio Double Negative for four and a half years . During this time he worked on films Duel - Enemy at the Gates , Die Another Day and Riddick: Chronicles of a Warrior .

He then moved to Weta Digital , where he worked on such films as King Kong , Avatar, and The Hobbit . 2013 he was for the movie Prometheus - for the Oscar in the category visual effects best nominated.
