Charline Picon (born December 23, 1984 in Royan ) is a French windsurfer .
successes
Charline Picon took part in two Olympic Games . At the 2012 Olympic Games in London , she finished eighth with 89 points. The games four years later in Rio de Janeiro were much more successful for Picon: thanks to a second place in the final medal race , she finished the regatta with 64 total points in first place ahead of Chen Peina and Stefanija Jelfutina and thus became Olympic champion . At world championships , she first secured bronze medals in 2009 and 2010, before winning the title in Santander in 2014 . In 2018 it took second place in Aarhus and in 2020 in Sorrento . Between 2013 and 2016, Picon was three times European champion.
For her Olympic victory, Picon received the Knight's Cross of the Legion of Honor at the end of 2016 .
