Marina Alabau Neira (born August 31, 1985 in Seville ) is a Spanish windsurfer .

successes

Marina Alabau took part in three Olympic Games . In 2008 , she just missed a medal win in Beijing , finishing fourth with 54 points, before winning the gold medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London . With 26 points she was Olympic champion ahead of Tuuli Petäjä and Zofia Noceti-Klepacka . The games four years later in Rio de Janeiro she finished fifth, with 71 points she was only two points behind the medal ranks. Alabau won a total of five medals at world championships . After a silver and a bronze medal in 2006 and 2008, she became world champion in Weymouth in 2009 . She also won bronze in Perth in 2011 and silver in Santander in 2014 . Between 2007 and 2013 she was European champion five times.

Alabau is married to the French windsurfer Alexandre Guyader .
