Charlotte Ueckert
Charlotte Ueckert (born July 22, 1944 , in Oldenburg (Oldenburg) , née Hanßmann) is a German writer and poet .
Life
Charlotte Ueckert spent her childhood and youth in Oldenburg and Delmenhorst . Her father was an Evangelical Lutheran pastor who died early. She grew up with her mother and two younger siblings. After graduating from high school in modern languages, she completed an apprenticeship as a librarian in Hamburg, where she studied psychology, literary studies and art history. She wrote her master's thesis on Sarah Kirsch . As a research assistant at the University of Hamburg, she worked in the fields of exile and post-war literature . Since 1979 Charlotte Ueckert has published volumes of poetry and biographies and edited several anthologies. Charlotte Ueckert is a member of the PEN and an honorary member of the European authors' association Die Kogge . Reading and lecturing activities, writing workshops .
