Chawot Jaïr ( Hebrew חַוּוֹת יָאִיר, Arabic مزرعة يائير, English Havot Yair ) is an Israeli outpost in the West Bank . The settlement, which was founded illegally under international law in 1999, belongs to the Shomron regional administration and is located near Nofim ( Hebrew נוֹפִים) and Jakir ( Hebrew יַקִּיר, Arabic ياكير).
Surname
The Hebrew name of the settlement means "tent villages of the Jaïr ". Chawot Jaïr was named after the biblical place in Dtn 3,14 EU .
