Chen Xinyi (born January 2, 1998 in Shanghai ) is a Chinese swimmer .

Career

At the 2014 Asian Games , she won gold medals in the 50 m freestyle, 100 m freestyle and the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay.

Positive doping test

As a participant in the 2016 Summer Olympics , Chen tested positive for hydrochlorothiazide use . She had previously achieved fourth place in the final over 100 m butterfly. She was then banned from further participation in the Games by the International Sports Court . On August 18, it was announced that the B sample had also tested positive. The world association banned Chen for two years.
