The Chengdu International Circuit ( Chinese 成都 国际赛车场 ), also Chengdu Goldenport Circuit ( Chinese 成都 金 港 电路 ), is a permanent racetrack opened in 2007, in the Sichuan administrative region , in the People's Republic of China .
The permanent racetrack is driven clockwise and is 12 to 22 meters wide.
The circuit was part of a racing circuit construction boom in China in the 2000s, based on a keen interest in motorsport.
A special feature of the route are the many bumps in the asphalt, which result from the fact that the racetrack was built on part of a swamp. Water collects in the bumps, even when the rest of the route is already dry, which makes driving on the route challenging.
Various national motorsport championship runs take place on the racetrack. In 2008 there was a run of the A1GP series , in 2017 the circuit was part of the Chinese Formula 4 championship .
