Chiara Hoenhorst (born January 9, 1997 in Albersloh ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

In her youth, Hoenhorst played at home SG Sendenhorst . From 2011 to 2015 she played for third division Moerser SC . During this time she was also used in the German U17 national team. In 2015, the outside attacker moved to USC Münster and played there with the second team in the second Bundesliga North for two years . From 2017 she played in the USC Bundesliga team .

During the rampage in Münster on April 7, 2018 , Hoenhorst suffered severe head injuries and had to be put into an artificial coma in the meantime . After the 2018/19 season, she had to end her professional career because of the consequences of these injuries. Since then she has been back in the USC's second team.
