The Export-Import Bank of China or China Exim-Bank ( Chinese  中國 進出口 銀行 , Pinyin Zhōngguó Jìnchūkǒu Yínháng  - "Chinese Import and Export Bank ") is a Chinese state bank. It was founded in 1994 and is under the direct leadership of the State Council of the People's Republic of China . The chairman and president is Li Ruogu .

The bank is one of three institutional banks in China. It was established to enforce the geopolitical goals of the People's Republic in industry , foreign trade , diplomacy , economics and finance . It provides funds to promote the export of Chinese products and services. It grants import and export credits, transportation finance, preferential government loans, and provides funding and loans to foreign governments and international financial institutions. Its headquarters are in Beijing , there are ten further branches and representative offices in Germany, as well as three foreign representations in Johannesburg , Paris and St. Petersburg . There is a dense network of correspondence with over 500 foreign banks worldwide.
