Chirgaon is a small town ( Nagar Palika Parishad ) in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh .

Chirgaon is located in the district of Jhansi 27 km northeast of the district capital Jhansi . The city of Kanpur is 180 km northeast of Chirgaon. The Betwa River , a right tributary of the Yamuna , flows 5 km east of the city.
The national highway NH 25 ( Kanpur-Jhansi-Highway ) runs east of Chirgaon. A railway line also runs from Jhansi via Chirgaon to Kanpur.
