Chloramine B is an organochlorine compound from the group of the chloramines and as a disinfectant similar to chloramine T used. The letter attached to chloramine stands for benzene (chloramine B) or toluene (chloramine T).
Presentation and use
Chloramine B can be prepared by the chlorination of benzene sulfonamide with molecular chlorine are prepared. The compound is used as a disinfectant (has a bactericidal effect ) and a bleaching agent.
