Chloris (daughter of Amphion)

Chloris ( Greek Χλωρίς ) is in Greek mythology the youngest daughter of Amphion , the king of Orchomenos . When Mother is Persephone , daughter of Minyas called, but is also the mother of Amphion. Her sister was Phylomache , who was married to Neleus ' brother , Pelias , while Chloris herself married Neleus, who paid a handsome bride price for the most beautiful of the virgins. With Neleus she is the mother of Pero , Periklymenos , Alastor and Nestor.

Already in antiquity, Chloris was confused with the niobide Chloris , probably due to the similarity of names between their father and Niobe's husband.

Occasionally, Chloris is also called "Polymede".
