Orgyen Choggyur Lingpa (Tibetan ཨོ་ རྒྱན་ མཆོག་ གྱུར་ བདེ་ ཆེན་ གླིང་ པ་, tib . : o rgyan mchog gyur gling pa ; also: Choggyur Dechen Lingpa , tib .: mchog gyur bde chen gling pa ; * 1829 ; † 1870 ) is considered one of the most important tertöns in Tibetan history. He was a contemporary of the Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo and the Jamgön Kongtrül Lodrö Thaye with whom he founded the Rime movement. His termas are practiced in both the Kagyu and Nyingma schools. Choggyur Lingpa means translated: Choggyur: "excellent", Lingpa : "Refuge for peace and happiness of beings" (Lingpa, English: "'sanctuary' of peace and happiness for beings", is a common title for Tertöns)

Choggyur Lingpa was the holder of seven lineages and the last of 100 major Tertöns. He is particularly well-known because he discovered a term of the "space class" (Tib .: klong sde , Longde ) of Dzogchen .

Choggyur Lingpa was not a monk, his main companion was Dechen Chödrön.
