Christopher Creveling (born December 29, 1986 in Flemington ) is an American short tracker and inline speed skater .

Career

Creveling began his career in inline speed skating . In 2004 he became world champion with the relay over 10,000 m on the road. The following year he won the bronze medal with the relay at the World Cup . He made his debut in the Short Track World Cup in October 2012 in Calgary and finished 11th in the 1500 m and sixth in the 1000 m. That same month he came on the podium for the first time in Montreal with third place with the relay. His best results at the 2013 Short Track World Championships in Debrecen were 11th place over 1500 m and seventh place with the relay. At the beginning of the 2013/14 season he won his first World Cup victory with the relay in Shanghai . In the further course of the season he won second place with the relay in Seoul and won again with the relay in Kolomna . At the season highlight, the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , he won the silver medal with the relay. He also took 21st place over 1500 m and tenth place over 1000 m. His best results at the 2014 Short Track World Championships in Montreal were eighth place over 1000 m and sixth place with the relay. In the 2015/16 season he achieved his best individual result in the World Cup with fourth place over 500 m in Dordrecht . At the 2016 Short Track World Championships in Seoul, he finished seventh with the relay.
