Krueger made his World Cup debut at the beginning of the 2011/12 season in Salt Lake City and finished ninth over 500 m and seventh place over 1500 m. In the further course of the season he reached his first podium in the World Cup with second place over 1500 m in Moscow . At the Junior World Championships in Melbourne in 2012 he won the 1500 m and the bronze medal with the relay and the silver medal in the 1500 m superfinal. In October 2012 he came third at the World Cup in Calgary over 500 m and at the World Cup in Montreal on third place with the relay over 5000 m. At the beginning of the 2013/14 season he won his first World Cup victory with the relay in Shanghai . In the further course of the season he won second place with the relay in Seoul and second place over 1500 m in Turin . At the beginning of the 2014/15 season he took third place in the relay and first place over 500 m at the World Cup in Salt Lake City. A third place in Montreal and a second place in Shanghai followed in the 500 m season. Over 1500 m he came third in Shanghai. His best placings at the 2015 World Championships in Moscow were tenth place over 1500 m and eighth place with the relay over 5000 m. He finished the season in sixth place in the World Cup over 1500 m and fourth place in the World Cup over 500 m. His best result at the 2016 World Championships in Seoul was seventh place over 1000 m and with the relay. In February 2016 he was third with the relay at the World Cup in Dresden . In the 2016/17 season he finished in the top ten seven times in the World Cup singles, including third place over 1500 m in Salt Lake City and thus achieved fourth place in the World Cup over 1500 m. He also took third place with the relay in Gangneung . His best results at the 2017 World Championships in Rotterdam were 15th place over 500 m and seventh place with the relay. The following season he won in Shanghai with the relay and finished third in Seoul with the relay. He has been part of the Hungarian association since the 2018/19 season.
