Franziska Singer (* 1986 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actress .

Life

Franziska Singer was born as the child of two musicians, grew up in Upper Bavaria and moved with her family to Lower Austria after primary school . From 2004 to 2007 she studied acting at the Krauss drama school .

In the 2008/09 season she played the role of Omoto in Die Judith von Shimoda at the Theater in der Josefstadt . Since 2009 she has been a member of the ensemble at the Schubert Theater in Vienna , where she appeared on stage as Toinette in The Imaginary Ill , as Kathi in Der Zerrissene and as Mrs. Cheveley in An ideal husband . At the Schubert Theater she also devotes herself to puppetry , for example as Alice by Lewis Carroll , as Gretel in Hansel. Gretel. Dark forest. , as death and hope in Der Herr Tod und seine Freunde and in JEDER.mann together with Manuela Linshalm . At the Drachengasse Theater in 2013 she was Dijana in First it was empty without a heart, but now it's back to see.

In November 2016 she was awarded the Neulingsnagel as the best cabaret newcomer at the Goldenen Kleinkunstnagel . In November 2017 she celebrated her first solo cabaret program Luft nach unten at the Theater am Alsergrund , with which she also took part in the main competition at the Munich cabaret Kaktus .

In 2019 she was a guest on the ORF program Pratersterne , moderated by Hosea Ratschiller . In the Arte / ZDF / ORF documentary about Queen Victoria , she played the role of young Victoria in 2019, alongside Gisela Salcher as a mature woman. In 2020, she embodies public opinion in the opera around the production of Offenbach's Orpheus in the Underworld .
