Chris Kacher

Chris Karcher is a public investor and strategist with a background in nuclear science . He is the co-founder of a stock market advisory service, VirtueOfSelfishInvesting.com, best known for generating total annual returns of 18.241% in 1996-2002, as he wrote in his book Trade Like to O'Neil Disciple: How We Made 18,000% in the Stock Market , which he published with Gil Morales. This book has been translated into four languages: Chinese , Japanese , Korean, and German .

In his book, Karcher develops a concept of Pocket Pivot , an early base breakout indicator that has been successfully used by individual investors.

education

Before starting his career as a stockbroker, Dr. Chris Kacher trained in nuclear science from the University of California, Berkeley . As a student he won a Charles D. Corvell Prize; as a PhD student he participated in the confirmation of the existence of seaborgium and the synthesis of an atom of Darmstadtium . In 1995 he graduated as Dr. Phil. In Nuclear Sciences from the University of Berkley.

In 2009 Chris Kacher released a debut album of his piano compositions Teardrop Rain under the artist name Christian Casher . He is a certified practitioner in neuro-linguistic programming and hypnosis .

Stock market career

During his postgraduate studies, Kacher developed an increasing interest in trading in the international financial markets . He started trading in 1991 and quickly realized that he wanted to change his career from nuclear physics to portfolio management. In 1995 Chris Kacher founded one of the first stock market advisory services on the Internet.

In 1996, Chris Kacher joined William O'Neill & Co. Inc. as a science advisor where he was quickly promoted to Senior Analyst and Senior Portfolio Manager. He currently serves as the Executive Director of MoKa Investors, LLC and Virtue of Selfish Investing, LLC.

Chris Kacher appears regularly in major business media such as CNBC , Reuters and Bloomberg . With Gil Morales, he is a frequent contributor to MarketWatch, Townhall.com, Seeking Alpha, Minyanville, and others. He is also often invited as a guest to various radio shows.

Kacher is co-author with Gil Morales on The Wiley Trading Guide, Volume II . In 2012, Kascher and co-author Gil Morales published the book In the Trading Cockpit with the O'Neil Disciples at Wiley & Sons , an extension and deepening of the book Trade Like an O'Neil Disciple: How We Made 18,000% in the Stock Market .
