Chris Okotie (born June 16, 1959 in Ethiope-West , Nigeria ), actually Christopher Oghenebrorie Okotie , is a Nigerian television preacher . He started his own church called the Household of God Church.

Life

Chris Okotie was born in Delta State and attended Edo College in Benin City . He received his doctorate in law from the University of Nigeria at Nsukka . After attending the Grace Fellowship Bible School in the US city of Tulsa , he became a preacher and founded the Household of God Church in Lagos . Since 2001 he has been a preacher on the program Apokalupsis on the Nigerian Television Authority . His congregation has 5000 members, including many Nollywood actors , musicians and other public figures. As a car lover, the pastor owns a Mercedes S600 , a Hummer and a Porsche , along with many other cars.

Forbes estimates Okotie's net worth at $ 3 million to $ 10 million.

In the 2003 elections in Nigeria Okotie was the presidential candidate of the Justice Party (JP), but lost 0.30 percent of the vote in eighth place against Olusegun Obasanjo of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). In the 2007 presidential elections , he ran as a candidate for the Fresh Democratic Party (FRESH) he founded in 2005 , but only received 0.21% of the vote. In the 2011 presidential election it was 0.09%.
