Chris Schulenburg (* 7. June 1980 in Havelberg ) is a German politician of the CDU and since 2016 deputy in the parliament of Saxony-Anhalt .

Life

Schulenburg grew up in Sandau , attended elementary school there and then switched to high school in Havelberg. After graduating from high school in 1999, he joined the police force. He completed an apprenticeship with the Berlin police and took up studies at the University of Applied Sciences for Administration and Justice in Berlin , which he graduated in 2003 with a degree in administrative management (FH) . In the meantime he did an internship with the Chicago Police Department .

Chris Schulenburg worked from 2003 to 2005 in the country's riot police Braunschweig of Lower Saxony Police from 2005 to 2006, the country's riot police Magdeburg the police Saxony-Anhalt . From 2006 to 2008 he worked at the Stendal Police Station (Police Directorate Stendal ) and from 2008 to 2009 at the Jerichower Land Police Station (Police Directorate Saxony-Anhalt North). From 2009 to 2011 he worked for the Deployment Department in Magdeburg and the Central Crime Fighting Unit in Stendal. In 2011 he continued his studies at the German Police University in Münster-Hiltrup , which he completed in 2013 with a Master of Arts degree in public administration and police management . Since 2013 he has been head of the police station in Stendal and at the same time deputy head of the department.

Schulenburg joined the CDU and the Junge Union in 2002 . He is a member of the district executive committee of the CDU Stendal and chairman of the CDU local association Elbe-Havel-Land.

Schulenburg initially turned to local politics . He is a member of the city council in Sandau and a member of the district council in the Stendal district . In the state elections in March 2016 , he was elected as a direct candidate for the CDU via constituency 03 (Havelberg-Osterburg) as a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt. He won the direct mandate with 40.1% of the first votes .

Chris Schulenburg lives in Sandau. He has a partner and two children.
