Christa Cremer-Renz

Christa Cremer-Renz (* 1945 in Hoya ) is a German sociologist and political scientist .

Live and act

Christa Cremer-Renz attended school in Essen , trained as a hairdresser from 1962 to 1965 and graduated from high school in economics and social sciences in Wattenscheid in 1967 . She then studied educational science , sociology , political science, psychology and philosophy in Cologne, Dortmund and Bielefeld and graduated in 1972 with a diploma in education . In 1974 she was introduced to the University of Education Ruhr with the work Transparency of Scientific Processes through Action Research? to the Dr. ped. PhD .

She worked as a research assistant and research assistant in Paderborn, Münster, Recklinghausen and Dortmund and was appointed professor at the University of Applied Sciences Northeast Lower Saxony in Lüneburg in 1982 .

From 1995 to 1996 she was Vice-Rector and from 1996 to 2004 President of the Northeast Lower Saxony University of Applied Sciences and 2005/2006 Transitional President of Leuphana University Lüneburg . In 2006 she was appointed professor for theory and practice of social work / social education at Leuphana University Lüneburg.

Christa Cremer-Renz is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and belongs to the editorial collective of the magazine Das Hochschulwesen .

In 2019 she was awarded the Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Lower Saxony Order of Merit.
