Christa Schroeder (politician)

Christa Schroeder (born February 17, 1913 in Bromberg ; † February 15, 1988 in Bückeburg ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

Schroeder was one of the first class to graduate from the girls' high school in Detmold in 1931 . She then attended a social pedagogical seminar in Berlin and then worked in youth care. From 1938 to 1946 she worked as a clerk for female placement at the employment offices in Detmold and Arnsberg . Afterwards she switched to the Christian Democratic party work. Since 1957 she was an employee of the State Association for Inner Mission and the Evangelical Relief Organization Lippe in Detmold.

Political party

Schroeder joined the CDU in 1946 and worked as a full-time employee for the party in Detmold until 1957. From 1965 to 1985 she was district chairwoman of the women's union Ostwestfalen - Lippe . She was also deputy chairwoman of the Christian Democratic Workers' Union (CDA) Westphalia .

MPs

Schroeder had been a councilor for the city of Detmold since 1946. She was a member of the German Bundestag from 1961 to 1976. It was always drawn into parliament via the state list of North Rhine-Westphalia .
