Christa Spannbauer
Christa Spannbauer (born June 2, 1963 in Lichtenfels , Upper Franconia ) is a German author , speaker and filmmaker .
Career
After ten years as a geriatric nurse , Spannbauer completed her secondary education and studied German and English literature at Trinitiy College in Dublin and at the University of Würzburg . She completed her studies in 1999 as a Magistra Artium (MA).
After graduating, she worked as a freelance communication trainer. From 2003 to 2009 she was the public relations officer of the Benediktushof seminar center in Holzkirchen and personal assistant to the Zen master and Benedictine Willigis Jäger. She organized congresses on philosophy, psychology and theology with scientists and wisdom teachers from all over the world. In 2009 she moved to Berlin , where she started her own business as an author and journalist .
Act
In her books and articles, Spannbauer gets to the bottom of the question of a successful life and explores how the wisdom paths from East and West can support people in it. Her Zen and mindfulness practice as well as her training as a lecturer for mindfulness-based compassion training support her in this. She gives readings, lectures and workshops.
In 2011, she shot the 30-minute contribution “How a nightmare becomes strength” for the 3sat broadcast Scobel together with Thomas Gonschior and Ulrich Bohnefeld . Holocaust survivors report ”.
In the film "Courage to Live - The Message of the Survivors of Auschwitz", she portrayed the Shoah survivors Jehuda Bacon , Esther Bejarano , Éva Fahidi and Greta Klingsberg together with Thomas Gonschior . The 45-minute television version was first broadcast on 3sat in 2013. A 60-minute documentary has been available on DVD since 2013. Since then, she has passed on the survivors' message in film talks and lectures.
Spannbauer works as a mentor at Gerald Hüther 's Academy for the Development of Potential in order to strengthen the moral courage of young people. She is a trained hospice worker .
