Christiaan Pförtner (born March 3, 1966 in Berlin ) is a former German soccer player .

Career as a player

Grown up in Berlin, moved with his parents to Munich, joined the district club TSV Waldtrudering and discovered for the Munich selection during the Munich city championships, gatekeeper drew the attention of talent scouts from FC Bayern Munich , who “won him over to the C-youth ” ". At the age of 19 he was part of the professional squad of Bayern , but was not used in 1985/86 , so he moved to the second division SpVgg Bayreuth during the current season . He made his debut on November 20, 1985 in the 0-1 defeat at Arminia Bielefeld . From the 22 games to the end of the season he completed 21 without a goal and moved to the 1986/87 season (until 1988/89 ) for league rivals Fortuna Cologne . In the three seasons he matured into a regular player and scored 24 goals in 85 games. This was followed by three seasons at 1. FC Saarbrücken and after one season for FC 08 Homburg , two at Hannover 96 , one at the fourth-class Lower Saxony association league club TSV Havelse , before he returned to Fortuna Cologne in 1996 . For Cologne, he played four games; his last on February 22, 1998 (18th matchday) in the 1: 2 defeat at VfL Wolfsburg . In 1997/98 he let his career end with the upper division club SV Sandhausen in Baden-Württemberg .

Pförtner completed 257 second division games in his career and scored 42 goals. He was also used in four games for the DFB Cup , three for Hanover and one for Fortuna Cologne.

National team

During his youth at FC Bayern Munich, he became a youth national player and was nominated for various youth national teams of the DFB . He made his international debut on March 12, 1982 in Regensburg in the 1-1 draw of the U16 national team against the national team of Czechoslovakia. He scored his first international goal on April 27, 1982 in Walheim, Württemberg, in a 3-0 win over the Soviet Union team.

From September 1, 1982 in the 6-1 victory of the U18 national team against Finland in Heilbronn , to December 7, 1983 in the 3-0 defeat against Italy in Falconara , gatekeeper played nine international matches for this national team.

During his time at Fortuna Cologne, he was appointed to the U21 national team under Berti Vogts . He played his first of three games on October 28, 1987 in and against the selection of Luxembourg , which was won 4-1. The two subsequent games (on November 17th, against the Netherlands and on December 2nd against Bulgaria ) were lost with 0: 2 and 1: 2 respectively.

Career as a coach

During his time at 1. FC Saarbrücken, he acquired his A- coaching license and after completing his playing career initially looked after clubs in the association, state and district leagues before turning exclusively to children's football in the “FIT Football School” in 2001 .

On July 1, 2014, Pförtner took over the 1st men's team of the district league promoted SG Hemsbach / Sulzbach.
