Christian Bühler (born March 24, 1903 in Tschappina ; † November 8, 1997 in Thusis , reformed , resident in Tschappina) was a Swiss politician ( Democratic Party of Graubünden ).

Life

Christian Bühler was born on March 24, 1903 in Tschappina as the son of the farmer Matheus Bühler and the shoemaker, who was born in Anna. After completing the teachers' seminar in Chur , he worked as a primary school teacher in Flerden between 1923 and 1946, as well as a farmer and cattle breeder .

Christian Bühler, who campaigned for the interests of agriculture, presided among other things, the farmers 'association Heinzenberg, was a board member of the Bündner and Swiss farmers' association and a founding member of the household school in Schiers .

He was married to Margreth nee Heinz from Flerden. Christian Bühler died on November 8, 1997 at the age of 94 in Thusis.

Political career

Christian Bühler represented the Graubünden Democrats between 1935 and 1939 and 1955 and 1965 as the Grand Councilor of the Thusis district . For this, he served from 1939 to 1941 or from 1949 to 1953 as mayor of Flerden and from 1959 to 1963 as president of the district Thusis. In the National Council , of which he was a member between 1959 and 1967, he was committed to the concerns of mountain farmers .
