Christian Begyn

Christian Begyn (* 1949 in Alsace ; † April 27, 2016 ) was a French cook and cookbook author.

Career

After his training in Colmar , he spent his traveling years in French and Swiss restaurants.

From the mid-1970s to the end of the 1990s, he was head chef at the “Schwarzen Adler” for the winemaker and restaurateur Franz Keller in Oberbergen for 25 years . The restaurant was temporarily awarded two Michelin stars . Begyn was a cook for the German President on several occasions .

He wrote several cookbooks, wrote for trade magazines and worked as a television chef.
