Christian Blumenthal

Christian Blumenthal (* 1979 ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

After graduating from the Clara-Fey-Gymnasium in Schleiden , he studied philosophy , Catholic theology and the languages ​​of the Christian Orient, especially Coptic, Armenian and Syriac, from 1999 to 2004 at the University of Bonn and at the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome .

In 2005 he spent a practical year in the congregation of St. Cyriakus in Krefeld - Hüls - there with a focus on school - before he was ordained a deacon in 2006 in Viersen - Dülken . In Diakonatsjahr he worked in St. Michael and Sacred Heart in Aachen and was established in 2007 Aachen Cathedral for priests ordained .

A position as a chaplain took him to Dülken on the Lower Rhine , where he was given the opportunity to advance his scientific work. Since January 24, 2017, he has been a private lecturer at the Catholic Theological Faculty of the LMU Munich and since February 1, 2018, he has been entrusted with the task of mentoring the teaching students of Catholic theology at RWTH Aachen University .
