Christian Blumenthal (* 1979 ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

After graduating from the Clara-Fey-Gymnasium in Schleiden , he studied philosophy , Catholic theology and the languages ​​of the Christian Orient, especially Coptic, Armenian and Syriac, from 1999 to 2004 at the University of Bonn and at the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome .

In 2005 he spent a practical year in the congregation of St. Cyriakus in Krefeld - Hüls - there with a focus on school - before he was ordained a deacon in 2006 in Viersen - Dülken .
