Christian Dreher
Christian Dreher (born December 19, 1970 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a former German table tennis player . He became German champion in doubles.
youth
Dreher is left-handed. He plays with a pimple-outside rubber on the backhand. In 1984 and 1985 he was German master of the pupils in doubles, each with Markus Teichert . In 1991 and 1992 he won the individual title at the German junior championships, in 1992 he won the TOP-12 junior ranking tournament.
Adults
In 1994 Dreher took third place in the German ranking list. That year he won the German Championship in Bensheim in doubles with Sascha Köstner , and in singles he was runner-up. In 1995 and 1996 he won the German team championship and the German cup with Borussia Düsseldorf . In 1995 he came second in the national ranking tournament TOP-12 .
Dreher played four international matches between 1994 and 1997. In 1992 he was nominated by the DTTB for the individual competitions of the European Championship . In 1994 he was used here in the team. In the men's doubles, he reached the semifinals together with Vladimir Samsonow .
He won the European Nancy Evans Cup in 1993 and 1999 with TTC Jülich and in 1995 with Borussia Düsseldorf.

End of career
In 1999 Dreher ended his active career as a competitive athlete. From 1998 to 2004 he was the sporting director at TTC Jülich. He works as a lawyer specializing in sports law in Darmstadt. From 2002 to 2006 he worked for the DTTB on legal issues, and from the end of 2005 he was chairman of the control committee. Since the end of 2005 he has been supporting the TTC Frickenhausen in looking after players in team matches.
Christian Dreher is married to an American. With her he has two daughters and a son.
