Christian Friedrich Quandt
Christian Friedrich Quandt (born September 17, 1766 in Herrnhut ; † January 30, 1806 in Niesky ) was a German doctor and writer.
In addition to his profession as a doctor in Niesky, Quandt also dealt with sound generation. In 1791 he developed the New Harmonica , a musical instrument made of several glass tuning forks, which could be made to sound through friction in the longitudinal direction on one of the bent legs. However, this instrument was quickly forgotten.
