Christian Günther II von Schwarzburg-Sondershausen zu Arnstadt ( April 1, 1616 - September 10, 1666 ) ruled and resided in Arnstadt since 1642 .

Life

Count Christian Günther II was the son of Count Christian Günther I of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen (1578–1642), and his wife Countess Anna Sibille (1584–1623), the daughter of Count Albrecht VII of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt.

After the death of their father, the brothers divided the county among themselves and Christian Günther II received the entire sovereignty with the residence town of Arnstadt .

Christian Günther II had been married to Sophie Dorothee († 1685), the daughter of Count Georg von Mörsperg and Beffort, since 1645 and had the following children with her:

  • Sibille Juliane (1646–1698) ∞ Heinrich I von Reuss-Obergreiz (1668–1681)
  • Sophie Dorothee (1647–1708) ∞ Count Ernst von Stolberg-Ilsenburg (1650–1710)
  • Clara Sabine (1648–1698)
  • Christine Elisabeth (1651-1670)
  • Catharina Eleonore (1653–1685)
  • Johann Günther IV. (1654–1669), Count of Arnstadt, died unmarried and without descendants
