Christian Geisler

Christian Geisler (born July 29, 1984 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian chef .

Career

Christian Geisler graduated from primary school in Salzburg. After three years of work in the K&K restaurant in Salzburg, he completed basic military service in Austria . He then started at the Ikarus restaurant in Hangar-7 . After further years of experience in New York City , in the Wallse restaurant and Stage in the Café Gray as well as in the Alinea in Chicago , he went to Switzerland and worked under Marcus Lindner in the mesa restaurant as a sous-chef . 2011 took over the management Geisler as chef of the restaurants Heimberg in Zermatt . In May 2014 he also moved to the Kunsthof Restaurant in Uznach as managing director and head chef .

From 2011 to 2014 Geisler was head chef at the Heimberg restaurant in Zermatt , where he was awarded one star in the 2014 Michelin Guide . Gault-Millau awarded him 16 points. In 2015, the Michelin Guide awarded him another star in the Kunsthof Restaurant and the Gault-Millau restaurant guide awarded him 17 points and named Geisler “Newcomer of the Year”.

Geisler is not married, lives in a partnership and has a son.
